The Women’s March on St. Louis march and rally will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017, from approximately 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown St. Louis. This march is in conjunction with the Women’s March on Washington, D.C., which will bring together women throughout the country to show unity in the fight for the rights of women and other marginalized groups. The march will begin at Union Station and proceed down Market Street, ending at Luther Ely Smith Square with a rally. Everyone supporting women’s rights is welcome to attend this free event.
We will meet at the area of Market and 18th Street on the morning of January 21st starting at 8:30 am. We will start the march at 9:00 am in front of Union Station on Market, near 18th Street. There is a metrolink stop behind Union Station. There is also paid parking available behind Union Station, or street parking available on Market and side streets. We will arrive by 8:30 to start gathering.
The march will proceed east on Market to end the march at Luther Ely Smith Square Square. The march is expected to take about an hour. If you do not wish to march, you can join us at the park for a rally starting about 10:00 am. The rally feature several engaging and dynamic guest speakers that will talk about issues women face every day, and will continue to fight for under this new administration. Charis will also perform at the rally. The rally is expected to last approximately 60 minutes.
